Dude... Where's My Hunting Partner?

Ok I wanna hear the story from both sides of this one...

Does Brad's bike go too fast for Butternuts to keep up...

Or

Did Butternuts lose his way???

Inquiring minds want to know...

1) The guy leading was carrying his dog, so he wasn't flying, his max speed was around 20.
2) I didn't pass him
3) I checked on butternuts every once in a while and I could still see his lights a hundred feet back
4) We get to the gate, no butter, no lights, nada. Wait 5 min. Go back to look for him, find two guys who were coming up the trail, they never saw him. Tried calling the cell, straight to voicemail (good call there not carrying your cell )

Was later told he went strait instead of turning left towards the gate, he must have been REALLY slow not to see my bright ass tail light on the ATV, hell is either 35 or 55 watt and it was pitch black that night.

Moral of the story, if you don't know the lease, carry a frickin' cell phone!

Drundel go fast on his ATV....NEVER....YEAH Right....20 my AZZ...You've never done 20 down those roads in yo life.....Most intersting account Drundel....Looks like selective memory has already kicked in and it's only monday.

First of all, I get to the lodge in plenty of time so I don't HAVE to blizkrieg out to the pond. Second....I got a 70 lb dog on the back of my bike that I don't want to splat on da road at 40 mph....been there done dat. He rides standing up and can handle 20 - 25....Oh except for those potholes and curves that you boyz go sideways around. havn't quite figured out how to keep him from catching air when hitting those damned pot holes....I'm sure dat independent suspension makes both your rides a little better through that crap too... Maybe if you had a dog...You'd have a better grasp of the situation....and yes I know Mike's dog can handle it but she lays down behind his butt and all his gear.

The fact is this: I went straight when you guys turned to go to the wooden bridge....that's my fault....Obviously I didn't see you or I wouldn't have missed the freakin turn. My first year and I don't know the 15,000 acres as well as I should...I've also never been to that pond.

Oh...by the way...I did have my cell on and called ...repeatedly.....all circuits busy.

Anyway...no biggy...It worked out...I had a great hunt by the days standard in one of the front ponds. Shoulda limited in short order but....kinda set up late.

What's really fun is when you're riding down the dirt road in the middle of the night and Drundie wants to show you just how fast his bike will go and nails it and kicks rocks and dust in your face. Now that my friend is some kinda fun. I think I am still pulling crap out of my eyes over that one.

On a lighter note, I know someone with a NOS kit you could put on your bike to keep up with Evel Barnievel...

See post above, I wasn't leading, I was following and yep, speedometer said 20-25 most of the time. I want to bring my dog but I haven't figured out a way to get her out there yet which is why I haven't brought her.

I agree at the lodge, we were both there early, you were just about ready when I got there, but I also don't like getting passed, dust in the contacts really sucks, even when I wear goggles I get dust in the eye, and I was wearing goggles (reason I didn't let Cajun pass, i wasn't that day).

Yep, I do try to slide around that curve, kinda fun in my ATV, on stock tires its even better.

You called my cell??? Did you leave a VM? Sprints voicemail is on a different system and it goes through most of the time even when you can get or make calls. I left you a VM and called you numerous times, straight to VM each time.

But in the end, you had a better hunt by a damn sight, I wish I'd have gotten lost too if you had birds, we didn't have jack.

I think you two are going to have to meet up at Acadamy and take care of business.

We tried out some chemical googles, the kind we wear out in the acid units on the ship channel, this weekend at the ranch. No dust got thru them at all. We were running 25 - 30mph single file no problem.

Goggles and a bandana would be best imho. Hey Greg how about some goggles for your old buddy Cajun?
