friday was a mixed blessing hunt, drundel, cajun duckman and I hunted the easiest spot on halls bayou ranch, ended up with a green head at first light and a teal an hour and a half later, really only had a chance at one more bird, the lucky teal with the unlucky one we picked up.

Saturday was also a mixed success, brad and I hunted dukfvr's pits on halls, start off crippling two birds, sailed off into the sunrise, then dropped a mottle and had a flock of whitefronts fly over, we dropped our limit of four out of the bunch but lost marks on two of them so after several searches, only picked up two, that sucked, but over all ended up with six ducks, and the two geese... Bou'ee the boykin made a fantastic retreive on a crippled cajun mallard, he never saw the bird, just found a trail into the reeds....

retired to the duck camp on saturday night for a fun filled weekend of washing clothes dishes and cooking for the week didnt sound like I missed much at HBR...

It sucked I shot twice, hit nothing. My buddy shot once at a spoonie and took him down. Not that many birds and the ones that were out were being flared by something near us. I could never figure out what was doing it!!

Decent day. Shot 4 birds. Two mallards and two GWT. Saw several birds but a jack off decided to set up about 100 yards away from me and blow his call like a trumpet non stop. Pretty much kept me from getting an easy limit.

Still alot of birds here in N Texas.

i found a couple private lake to hunt in Oklahoma this weekend. and a couple of private wheat fields that were holding feeding canada geese. I was a bit excited. So now when I go see the chick, I get to hunt too. woooo hoooo!!!
