Went to the slough yesterday evening. The water is low, but there is still enough to motor the boat around in. We pulled up on the bank and just watched for birds. Widgeon and teal were the only birds we saw, at least the only ones close enough to tell what they were. Oh yeah……and a few water turkeys. Hopefully some more greenheads will be down here by Saturday morning.
