I was expecting more of a war movie, but when your a marine in Desert Storm you didnt see much action anyways. Its was pretty neat to see them develop the story line of a soldier that goes through the war and the only shot fired by him was in celebration that the war was over. It had some funny parts as well, especially the "field fu*k" part.

I knew it wasn't a war movie coming in so I wasn't expecting one. Its a damn good movie I thought. The book met with mixed reviews from the vets of the war, but I think it makes a good point about the mind games that the vets have to go through.
