Ok dammit!!!

Post by gentry1242 »

I have been trying to save a gif smiley sequence to my hd, but all it allows me to save is a bmp. It just takes a snapshot of the sequence and saves it as a picture. It will not allow me to save target as for some reason, and this is pissing me off. Used to be easy to just select what you wanted to save, now Windows XP is trying to think for me and not doing such a good job.

Anyone know how to get around this? I have tried copy/paste, save target as, save picture as, but have had no luck.

try going to the properties and copying the link to that specific image, then open it up in your browser directly. Then try saving it. It might work, might not, don't know. sometimes animated gifs are freaky.

i told you dumbass, when it only gives you the option to save as .bmp, it means your cache is full, do a search on google for it and newsgroups.

Thanks for the first tip, but I tried that too.

As far as Brad's dumbass comment... the cache has been cleaned out, and is cleaned out on a regular basis.
